Manageris opinion
Coauthored by three AT Kearny consultants, this book, written when mergers and acquisitions were at their peak, squeezes a great number of important messages on the integration process into a small number of pages. These messages revolve around seven “golden rules.” We particularly recommend rules 2, 3, and 4, concerning leadership, recognizing growth opportunities generated by the deal, as well as focusing integration efforts on initiatives most critical to success. The passages devoted to communication and cultural dimensions are also interesting, although they could have been developed more thoroughly.
