Manageris opinion
This book methodically analyzes all of the strategic management stakes associated with globalization. Dense and extremely detailed, it is subdivided into chapters each covering a given topic – organization, international alliances, etc. – in a rather academic style that relies on the findings of existing literature with numerous detailed examples. A rapid perusal would therefore be challenging, but each chapter could still be read independently. Hence, readers may choose to restrict their reading to a particular area, e.g. the organization of a global company (chapter 3), the conditions for successful strategic international alliances (chapter 4), the management and transfer of knowledge (chapters 5 and 6), the strategy for success on emerging markets (chapter 7), different regional governance models (chapter 8), or ethical issues raised by internationalization (chapter 9).
