The author, a consultant, decries the drawbacks of the current French system and reflects on potential short- and long-term solutions to put older employees back into the workforce. In the first fifty pages of the book, she provides a detailed review of the situation (parts 1 and 2), then suggests ways to overhaul human resource practices, by studying the various dimensions of the problem (part 3, chapter 1). Some off-beat ideas are also proposed to develop the mobility of older workers in different organizations (part 3, chapter 2). The must-read last part of the book offers a five-step action plan for HR managers.
